A brief update concerning Claire

Apparently I’m coming back Tuesday (grumble grumble), though I feel lucky to have a ride at all—I think Becky lost her phone, considering not one of my many calls or messages was responded to or acknowledged in any way. Also: I love tv-link.co.uk and Movie Spider is amazing but I think they both just got [...]

Both hilarious and terrifying.

Watch this and be amazed. “How many sides does a triangle have?” “There’s no sides. One?”

You guys, Janet is famous!

Apparently whatshisname Jacques reads the Christian Science Monitor, because if you visit today’s Questionable Content (my friend Adam told me about it) there is a link in the sidebar-news-thingie to the article featuring two of our friendzorz. One of whom reads this very blog! Omigod I’m so nervous to meet her!

You guys, come on now, WTF.

I link to the Babson-college RPG video: December 31st. Wesleying links to the same video: January 2nd. Credit where it’s due, people. Grah grah grah. Unrelated: Another A-minus! This make four A-minuses I’ve got so far, with only one course (physics, unfortunately) to go! HELL YEEEUH suhn!

NWA has changed my flight (and stolen my car)!

Did anyone else get an email from them? “Northwest Airlines Schedule Change for Trip 10MAR #M328MA” P.S. I’m about to start poking myself with sharp objects including but not limited to screwdrivers, knives and pens just for something to do. God, I’m bored. I’ve done so many Sudoku in the past few days, it’s ridiculous [...]

We got there early, with predictable consequences.

Spent the last two days in NYC. Downsides: Sharing hotel room with family. ALTHOUGH since Ben and I don’t share a bed and hence it was my turn to sleep on the couch (and surprise surprise we got a two-room thingie) I got a separate room which meant I didn’t have to go to bed [...]

Ain’t no sunshine.

I was thinking recently about how there are many enjoyable aspects of my life here. My friends, my brother, my cats, my parents, and just how incredibly comfortable this existence continues to be (big, soft bed—though without my awesome pillow—yummy food whenever I want, a big, spacious room, etc), and even stuff like driving by [...]

Productivity. Somewhat.

I’ve spent *so much* of today looking at jobs online, and over the past few days I’ve applied to BreakthroughCollaborative (just finished and sent in my app, which was gratifying). I even called up the old HV, mostly to ease my conscience (I’m secretly hoping they don’t need anyone else and I get zero hours, [...]

OK, that’s a little creepy.

Apparently my mom has been telling relatives of mine that I have a boyfriend with such efficiency that she recently attempted to tell a relative, only to discover that he’d already heard the news from another relative. It’s like something inside my mom went, “This is it! BABIES!” I’m kind of distressed.

Merry Christmas (Eve), oppressors.

Should I work at Hollywood Video over the break? It would suck, but PA’s minimum wage just got raised to six-something and that might earn me a bit more moolah. After telling my parents (incredibly awkwardly) that I have a boyfriend, it’s been very downhill — mom was pleased as punch that he’s Jewish (although [...]
