Jesse Matheson’s “Make Out”

This song always makes me chuckle.

Friday night, I’ve got nothing to do
You wanna come over to my house?
It’ll be just me and you
And if you wanted to, we could make out

Sit and watch a little TV
Yeah, just you and me, you’re looking lovely
But you’re sitting all the way over there
I want you right over here, with your arms around me

Let’s make my love seat into a love-seat baby, now
Let’s make my love seat into a love-seat baby, now

Now I’m acting like I’m tired
But I’m inspired to put my arms around you
I try to pull her leg with the arm stretch gag
But she knows what I’m up to

Let’s make my love seat into a love-seat baby, now
Let’s make my love seat into a love-seat baby, now

Are you feeling like you’re hungry?
I’ve got some money, let’s get some takeout
Cuz I don’t want to go out tonight
I just want you by my side so we can make out

So kiss me, kiss me now
I want you to kiss me
Let’s make out, let’s make out
Let’s make out…

Is it bad that this song reminds me of an episode of Golden Girls?

Considering that The Golden Girls and making out should never go together, I would say: yes.

Your statement is false. There was lots of making out and sex on that show. That’s what made it great.

Really? My mom used to watch that with me in the room. And weren’t they all old women? There should be neither sex nor making out after the age of, say, 60.

Yes, they were all MATURE women and they talked about sex ALL the time. True story. And you know what? You’re being needlessly unjustifiably ageist. I’ll call you up when you’re 60 and we’ll see if you still stick to the same idea.
