I walked out of Usdan after an interview for the Argus and did a double-take as I caught the beautiful orange and pink of the sky. The tug of everything that’s due either tomorrow or Thursday led me to consider going home, but I found my time much better spent sitting on a bench on the Usdan patio, admiring the sky.
I only had my iPhone on me, and not my (rather dated) standalone camera, but the sunset was far too beautiful not to capture it using whatever I had available.
After taking this shot, I raced to Indian Hill to get a better view, but the sun sets so quickly at this time of year that it was already sunken behind the hills, leaving only a broad swath of clear sky and a distinct, pinkish reflection on the gravestones behind me. I headed out of the cemetery in the chilly twilight, glassy stones on my left and the snaking lines of headlights on Route 66 far, far away, on my right.
