A near-final draft of my résumé

It’s just about done! My résumé [PDF, 68 KB], that is.

After having it (rightfully) ripped apart by the very intelligent Amy at the Career Resource Center (CRC), I have improved and revised the document. While I think it’s about as perfect as it’s going to get—aesthetically and in terms of language—I am always open to suggestions. Leave ‘em below, if you have any.

Barring any further edits, this is what I’m going to submit to the CRC for approval later this week. The only difference in the online copy linked above is that it omits a bit of personal information that Internet stalkers do not need to see.

Oh, if only jobs were based solely on how well a résumé is prepared. I could be our next president.

I’m not crazy about the formatting of your name with the blur/shadow/glow business going on. Also, I think you can do better than X.XX on the four point scale, if only you apply yourself.

I might have to adapt your description of participation and involvement with Wesleying for inclusion in my résumé, since it is one of only two student activities/groups I’m involved in at Wes.

It’s a great résumé though, and I think it would be right at home among the samples on the CRC website. You’re as impressive a person in reality as you are on paper, which I think is relatively uncommon…even at Wesleyan.

lol. Removing the GPA was part of removing my “personal information.” When I post an Internet-appropriate final draft, I suppose the GPA will be in there. Also, thanks for the comments on the title. I think it could be cleaned up some, for sure.

Your final comment was really nice, and made me feel all warm and fuzzy. (I’m being serious.) Thanks, Beau!
