Often when I’m at home or school, I’m sitting at my desk with a bottle of water next to me. I guess this happens more at home than at school—where I usually pour myself some water into a glass and keep that at my desk—but the story continues nevertheless. Sometimes, when I grip the bottle a little too tightly, it makes some indentations in the plastic. No big deal… you know, they just pop themselves out when I set the bottle back down.
But occasionally, the little dent doesn’t immediately pop out, and I’ll be sitting next to the bottle when all of a sudden—20 minutes later—the bottle will make that clicking sound as the plastic pops back into place. And without fail—absolutely without fail—that noise always startles the hell out of me. Makes me jump, and gives me that tingling feeling throughout my body.
It’s really annoying.
