A very beautiful, and very fleeting, snowstorm

I was sitting at the computer when snowflakes—lots of them—suddenly starting falling outside my window. The wind was blowing the snow in all different directions, and the sky was an ashen grey. And then, hints of yellow started coloring the sky from the west… and though the snow was coming down as furiously as ever, it was now glistening with the rays of a lazy late-afternoon sun.

I went outside and saw the contrast: a dull, wintry grey to the east, and a bright yellow sun hanging in a field of silvery blue to the west. And, all around, a blanket of snow falling from the sky. Beautiful.
