- I finished my HIST291 paper 12 minutes before midnight—over 12 hours before it was due! This is a significant accomplishment for me. I think it’s evident that I put more effort into the second essay rather than the first, but I think both ended up being pretty well done. The second essay, especially, was widely and meticulously sourced, and backed up by extensive endnotes. Plus, it was just more interesting.
- Chris and Amy apparently broke up about a month ago. That came as a surprise! I was never informed of this.
- It looks like people may be getting past the tags on Wesleying—or at least, the few people who complained about them are no longer wasting the energy. Which is good, because the annoying complaints overshadowed the larger aim of my reappearance on Wesleying, which is to give the blog back the energy and spunk it once had. I think I’m on my way to accomplishing that, and the campus will be better for it. I may expand upon my Wesleying thoughts in a later entry, when final exams aren’t breathing down my neck.
- I went outside after I finished my paper for the first time since last night, before it started snowing and sleeting and raining and just generally being miserable. Every step lands with a crunch on a thin layer of ice; things are too grainy to be very slippery, though. However, the slick topping over what was already poorly-cleared sidewalks makes them incredibly treacherous. I took me half an hour to scrape off my car; ice was glued on to the windows, and I couldn’t brush away the bottom layer of snow without first breaking through the top layer of ice. In general, it’s gross outside.
- All I’ve eaten today is a box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I am starving!
- Primal Scream took place; I hollered from my front door, freezing air blowing in as I stood there with nothing but sweatpants on. Claire and Janet did not participate, but a little while after I yelled (at what I thought was midnight), I heard distant yelling from the direction of campus. Neat.
- I must now eat, and study like mad. Good night!
