Notes on an unremarkable Monday

The lock on our front door, which had been broken, is fixed. My advisor’s dog, Breezy, is ridiculously cute. I am sleepy. Share this entry:

This positively sucks

Read this. Then know that I am profoundly disappointed with the classes available next semester, due to the fact that all the ones I want to take are in the same two time slots as my two required classes. This positively sucks. … You know it’s bad when I’m seriously looking at Elementary Statistics and [...]

Shadowy social connections come in handy

I have stumbled upon evidence of a chain of social connections that may have taken care of a problem I have recently been having relating to a particular female. It’s nice when things take care of themselves without any direct intervention needed on my part. Who’d have thought Facebook might be good for something? Not [...]

Academics can be pretty stressful

It’s that time of the year again: course selection time! And as usual, I’ve left my course selections to the day before my advisor appointment. Tomorrow is my appointment with Professor Potter, where we’ll discuss the courses I want to take, hopefully some stuff about my major program (she’s the chair of the American Studies [...]

The countdown to Thanksgiving begins

Three more classes! One more shift at work! And a (hopefully relaxing) drive home. Then, Thanksgiving! Share this entry:

Today’s walk to class

Long, curly hair + 10-minute walk in downpour = ability to shake head and pretend I’m a shaggy, wet dog. Share this entry:

This is why I’m hot

Because this new WordPress plugin gives me the entire WordPress interface in an exquisitely-styled iPhone appearance. Share this entry:

The obligatory status-of-my-life entry

Meh. Not much has been happening lately. I skipped Latin this morning, which was bad. But I was so sleepy! I still had yet to fully recover from the all-nighter I had pulled the night before, which in the end was pretty pointless, because the paper I wrote on-and-off during that night spent awake didn’t [...]

Mac OS X 10.4.11

The recent Mac OS X 10.4.11 update includes a final version of Safari 3. And it is quite nifty. I can finally use the WYSIWYG editor built in to WordPress. It’s lovely, if I do say so, myself. Share this entry:

I sit near the most, uh, interesting people

The girl in front of me is doing online banking with the Credit Union of Colorado. Every subject the professor talks about in class, she looks up on Wikipedia. Sometimes she goes off-topic and looks up movie stars. The guy on my right has his shoes off and keeps dragging his bare feet across the [...]
