The Weakerthans’ “Civil Twilight”

My confusion, corner commuters are cursing the cold away As December tries to dissemble the length of their working day And they bite their mitts off to show me transfers, deposit change And I can’t stop finding your face in their faces, all rearranged And angry like you never were And I ease us back [...]

A not-so-rigorous analysis of my schedule

Things are generally pretty hectic, still. There is so much to do, and I continue to have such poor planning (will it ever change, probs not). Tonight is a perfect example. I know I have a Latin quiz in the morning, yet I left all the studying until one in the morning. Stupid, Justin! I [...]

Parties and (not-so) late night at Usdan

The past two weekends have been kind of weird, minus my birthday party last weekend. In general (like, in an encompassing, institutional scheme) things seem kind of weird at Wesleyan, too. At Late Night tonight at Usdan (nothing like Late Night used to be at Summerfields), we talked about how much the administration’s view of [...]

Mea culpa

I know Latin now. Ha. I apologize for that last entry. I’m going to make an effort to be better composed before I sit down to write in the future. Share this entry:

An attempt to compose a meaningful entry

Life is always such a treat. Even when it throws me the busiest, most hectic schedule of my life, it still finds ways to make me smile all day long. Or maybe it’s me that’s finding ways to make life make me smile all day long. Life isn’t capable of finding ways to do things, [...]

Snapshot of a perfect moment in time

This is a snapshot of the toast from my birthday party last week. Faces have been obscured to protect the guilty. There were no innocents. Share this entry:

An unending series of endless things to do

My life since I arrived at school has been an unending series of endless things to do. 4.5 credits + 5 jobs + 1 social life = a life far busier than I’ve ever experienced. Friends, both at Wes and at home, I’m terribly sorry that the demands of school and work have left me [...]

Inaugural bash at 324 Wash

Tonight was quite possibly the best night of my life. Everything went flawlessly. The party was amazing. I can’t even begin to explain it right now. But the fact that I’m going to bed at 4:48 AM is proof positive that tonight was nothing short of perfect. Share this entry:

I can now legally buy alcohol and handguns

And while I’m not at all interested in purchasing the latter, it is the truth: I am 21 years old. Everything right now is fantastic. Lovely friends, a warm, beautiful house, decent classes, lots of jobs, and prospects, prospects, prospects. Today, I’m going to work, and go to class, and go running, and eat birthday [...]
