The combination of cable TV and my nocturnal habits is a recipe for disaster. TNT has just shown three episodes of The X-Files in a row. It is at once entirely satisfying and entirely inconvenient for its timing.
Either way, yesterday was a mildly productive day. I woke up late, started cleaning my room, and ate a sandwich while walking around my yard. Having my mom around to make lunch is so nice (and tasty). Chris and Matt came by and we hung around for a while. After dinner, I showered for the first time in a few days, and then picked up a cable modem/router/wireless router from Best Buy, which was ridiculously expensive. Then I picked up a new speaker for my car door at Circuit City, which was less ridiculously expensive, but still ridiculously expensive.
We had met Corinne and Daly at Best Buy, and so I led them back to the highway so they coulld get back to Duxbury. I dropped Chris off, and then Matt and I headed down to Duxbury to Corinne’s. Josh met us there and we watched most of Pan’s Labyrinth. Lots of reading (subtitles)!
The ride home was nice. Josh took Matt home, so I had the car to myself. I love Route 3, especially at 12:30 AM. It’s almost entirely empty, and so dark, except for the vaguely visible skyline of trees, black against the slightly orange-ish glow of Boston to the north. I played Motion City Soundtrack and OK Go really loud with my hand hanging out the window. Glorious.
Now that I have the required components in place, I’m going to (hopefully) set up the cable internet today. Friday is the now-rescheduled trip to Fall River, and then the beach. And on Saturday, I’m helping my dad with residing the house. Blah blah blah. I’m going to bed. It’s far too light out at 5:20 AM.

Did you like Pan’s Labarynth?
I only saw up to the part where the servant and the doctor go to supply the resistance fighters in the woods—we ended it shortly after the amputation scene. It was engaging. I’d like to see the rest of it!
