OK, that’s a little creepy.

Apparently my mom has been telling relatives of mine that I have a boyfriend with such efficiency that she recently attempted to tell a relative, only to discover that he’d already heard the news from another relative. It’s like something inside my mom went, “This is it! BABIES!” I’m kind of distressed. Share this entry:

Merry Christmas!

OK, I know Jews probably make up at least 50% of the readership of this weblog, but I’m not Jewish, so: Merry Christmas! Share this entry:

Urination alternatives in everyday life.

So, I just woke up from an unintended stretch of post-Christmas shopping sleep. Naturally, I had to pee. Unfortunately, I woke up to my brother vomiting—in the hallway—because he didn’t make it to the toilet in time (stomach bug, I suppose). So, the hallway’s off-limits, but my bladder still desperately needed release. I had no [...]

Merry Christmas (Eve), oppressors.

Should I work at Hollywood Video over the break? It would suck, but PA’s minimum wage just got raised to six-something and that might earn me a bit more moolah. After telling my parents (incredibly awkwardly) that I have a boyfriend, it’s been very downhill — mom was pleased as punch that he’s Jewish (although [...]

Being home makes me think about things.

A quiet night at home makes me think about things. Lots of things. So many things that I can’t even think about any one thing for long, because new things enter my mind and take over my thoughts. I’m thinking about Wesleyan, and second semester, and this summer. My major. Erica, awkward mornings-after, and Sarah. [...]

I’m not even going to provide any context.

“Hey, hey, hey, Mr. Hangman, you go get your rope, Your daughters weren’t careful, I fear that I am a slippery slope. Now, even if I lay my head down at night, After a day I got perfectly right, She won’t know… She won’t know… “So pray, little Kay, love’s just God on a good [...]

Things of note.

Tonight at Bertucci’s (my family dinnered there, and she works there) I had my first awkward run-in with someone I didn’t want to ever see again after high school. Long story short, she was the source of most of my problematic social situations from junior high though late high school. The only contact I’ve had [...]

Massachusetts again.

I got home on Thursday night. Things have been pretty good since then–I picked Mitch up from the airport, did some last-minute Christmas shopping, started learning how to knit… haven’t read anything yet, but I’m confident that I will. I can’t really wrap my mind around staying here for a month. The last time I [...]
